Enhancement Overview

We’ve added Unit of Measure support to service job lines. This allows users to record a UOM against service lines, with the information flowing through to quotes and invoices.

This enhancement makes service pricing clearer, particularly where work is charged by day, hour, litre, each, or another measurable unit.

This enhancement functionality is only available in version 28.5 or later of EliteParks or EliteMarinas. View which version you are on in the Extension Management view within Business Central.

How It Works

Service job lines can now include a Unit of Measure alongside quantity and price details. The source document gives examples such as:

The UOM then flows to quotes and invoices, helping customers and internal users understand how each service line has been calculated.

Why Is It Useful?

This enhancement improves the clarity of service charging. Instead of a line simply showing a description, quantity, and price, users can now show what the quantity relates to. This is especially useful for service work where different charging units are used across different types of work.

For customers, this makes quotes and invoices easier to understand. For internal teams, it helps standardise the way service work is entered, reviewed, and billed. It also supports more accurate service administration by making each line’s charging basis clearer.
