Feature Description

Meter Invoicing for Bookings allows meter readings, such as electricity, gas, or water, to be invoiced against a booking rather than an owner. This is particularly useful for marinas and seasonal touring sites where guests or visitors should be charged for their actual consumption during their stay.

The feature supports booking-based utility charging by linking meter types, booking grades, customer creation, and booking meter invoicing into one process.

Note

A meter reading can be invoiced either to the owner or to the booking, but not both. Readings taken on the arrival date allocate to the previous booking, so teams should ensure readings are captured using the correct date.

Business Uses

• Charge guests for actual consumption – Invoice utilities such as electricity or gas directly to the booking contact.

• Support marina and touring operations – Useful where visitors consume utilities during temporary or seasonal stays.

• Improve billing accuracy – Meter readings can be allocated to the relevant booking based on the reading date and booking arrival date.
