Feature Description

The Enhanced Financial Reporting feature in Dynamics 365 Business Central introduces powerful, no-code tools that enable finance teams to create, customise, and manage financial reports without developer support. This update streamlines reporting workflows by allowing users to hide empty rows, print in portrait mode, and apply accounting-specific number formats. Report owners can now add introductory and closing paragraphs, document report usage, and run reports using saved Excel templates. Additionally, administrators benefit from improved oversight through permission tracking and telemetry on report usage and lifecycle events.

These enhancements significantly improve the accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency of financial reporting, empowering organisations to make informed decisions faster while reducing reliance on technical resources.
