Enhancement Overview

We’ve introduced automatic Unit and Plot dimension syncing for G/L entries when posting. This allows Unit and Plot dimensions to be set automatically on posted financial entries, improving reporting and analysis by location.

This enhancement is useful for businesses that want to report financial activity by unit, berth, pitch, or plot. It helps make posted finance data more meaningful by carrying operational location information through to G/L entries.

This enhancement functionality is only available in version 28.5 or later of EliteParks. View which version you are on in the Extension Management view within Business Central.

How It Works

The Unit and Plot Dimension Sync feature helps keep unit and plot information aligned by automatically synchronising key dimensions between related records. Changes made to supported dimensions on a unit or plot can be reflected on the linked record, reducing the need for manual updates and helping maintain consistent reporting data across the system.

When a relevant dimension value is added or updated, the synchronisation process applies the same value to the associated record where applicable. This ensures that operational, financial, and reporting processes are working from the same dimension structure, helping to improve data accuracy and reduce administration.

By automating the synchronisation of dimensions, organisations can spend less time maintaining duplicate information and have greater confidence that reporting and analysis reflect the correct unit and plot relationships.
